THE FOUNDER
My name's Tyler Andersen, and I grew up in Koumala, North Queensland - where the red dirt meets the rainforest and work boots are on before the sun is up. I've always had a knack for building things. After finishing my apprenticeship as a carpenter, I spent years framing up houses in the heat, learning the value of grit, precision, and doing the job right the first time.
But my real passion kicked in when I started building gear for the kind of people I respect most, hard-working tradies, adventurers, and everyday legends who live for the outdoors. Back in 2017, I knocked together my first tray as a side project for a mate. Word spread fast. One tray became ten. Ten became a hundred. And before I knew it, Get Bushed 4x4 was born.
We haven't looked back since.
Logan
Logan is a highly skilled tradesman at Get Bushed 4x4, bringing precision craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail to every build that leaves our Mackay workshop.
With a deep understanding of what our customers actually need in the field, Logan combines technical expertise with real-world experience.
As an avid outdoorsman who lives and breathes camping, fishing, and hunting, he doesn't just build trays and canopies, he builds them with the insight of someone who knows exactly how they'll be used in Australia's toughest conditions.
Matty
Matty is a skilled boilermaker and fabricator who recently joined the Get Bushed 4x4 team, bringing exceptional technical ability and a strong work ethic honed through years of hands-on rural life.
As a tradesman with a boilermaking background, Matty combines precision fabrication skills with the practical problem-solving mindset that comes from working on the land. His attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship are evident in every weld and every build that passes through his hands.

PLANNING
Every build starts with purpose. We sit down, sketch it out, and turn your vision into engineering-grade drawings. From laser cutting layouts to full bending programs, we engineer every tray to be smarter, tougher, and ready for abuse. We partner with ROPS-certified engineers so you can be sure your tray is built to protect you when it counts. Yes—we design around your 4x4's parking sensors and factory systems to keep your tech intact.
BUILDING
We work with the best. All parts are laser cut for accuracy, then shaped on our in-house CNC press brake. Our team welds every piece using top-shelf TIG setups, combining strength and aesthetics. Every weld, every cut, every corner is checked and re-checked. Because you're not just getting a tray—you're getting something we're proud to put our name on.
POWDER COATING
We've partnered with top local professionals to ensure your tray doesn't just look elite—it stays protected from rust, stone chips, and harsh UV for the long haul. Multiple colour options are available, and every finish is applied with precision and care.
FIT OUT
This is where the rubber meets the road. It's our most meticulous stage. We carefully install your tray onto your rig, ensuring perfect alignment and zero damage to paint or components. Sensors are tested, mounts are adjusted, and nothing leaves our shop until it's flawless.
